Natasha Low (born October 11, 1993), better known by her stage name, Tasha (Korean: 타샤), is a Singaporean singer, dancer and television host. Based in South Korea, she is a former member of girl group, Skarf and signed under Alpha Entertainment.[1] Born and raised in Singapore, Natasha is fluent in English, Mandarin and also Korean after moving to South Korea in 2011 to prepare for her debut in Skarf.[2] In 2015, it was announced that Natasha is preparing to debut in a group after leaving Skarf.[3]

Early life

Born into a family of ballroom dancers, Natasha's grandfather, Sunny Low, owns his own dance studio and her brother was in Thailand training to be a professional ballroom dancer.[2] She attended Fuhua Secondary School and completed her Secondary Five education before passing the JYP and Alpha Entertainment audition in 2010 and moving to South Korea in 2011.[4]

Career

2012 to present: Debut with Skarf and solo activities

After undergoing 2 years of intensive training in South Korea, Natasha debuted in Skarf, under the stage name, Tasha. She and another member, Ferlyn, are the two Singaporean members in Skarf until Ferlyn left the group in 2014.[5][6] The group debuted with their first mini album, Oh! Dance[7] and performed the song on KBS's Music Bank on August 17, 2012.[8] On August 14, 2012, Skarf held their debut showcase in Seoul.[9]

In 2012, Natasha was picked as an endorsement model for Pantech Vega R3, a smartphone line[10] and was selected as a host for Arirang's music program, Pops in Seoul in 2013. In the same year, Natasha also appeared on MBC's Gangnam Feel Dance.[11] In 2014, She joined MBC's Dancing 9 alongside Glam's Zinni but was disqualified for personal reasons.[12] It was announced in 2015 that Natasha is preparing to debut with a new group after Skarf's disbandment in 2014.[3]
