National Memory Institute (Slovakia)

The National Memory Institute (Ústav pamäti národa) is a Slovak public institution with an objective to provide access to the undisclosed records of the activities of the repressive organs (secret police) of the Slovak and Czechoslovak states in the period of oppression in the years 1939–1989.

The institute provides Slovaks access to victims, dissidents and the general public.
