National Bison Range Complex

The National Bison Range Complex includes the Lost Trail, Ninepipe, Pablo National Wildlife Refuges as well as the Northwest Montana Wetland Management District.[1] All of the refuges and associated lands are managed from the National Bison Range by the US Fish and Wildlife Service, an agency under the US Department of the Interior. The refuges are located in the northwestern regions of the U.S. state of Montana. The Ninepipe, Swan and Pablo National Wildlife Refuges are not permanently staffed, however, the other three areas have both interpretive visitor centers and naturalists. The National Bison Range is located approximately one hour north of Missoula, Montana and directional signs from U.S. Highway 93 guide visitors to Moiese, Montana, and the complex headquarters.
