Nayaki / Nayagi is an upcoming Telugu-Tamil bilingual retro horror comedy film,[2] directed by Goverdhan Reddy. The film stars Trisha[3] and Brahmanandam in lead roles. The film is produced by Giridhar Mamidipally who was the former manager of Trisha under Giridhar Production House and cinematography by Jagadeesh. The first look posters of the movie released on August 20, 2015.

Production

Nayaki in Telugu[4] and Nayagi[5] in Tamil was launched in AVM Studios on August 20, 2015 and the first look posters were revealed to the social medias. The movie will be shot simultaneously in both Tamil and Telugu languages. The setting of the film will be in the era of 1980s.[6] The pre-production of the work begun with the crew finalising the casts for the film. The first schedule of the filming has started with the main cast on board. The schedule was shot extensively in Chennai. The first schedule was completed by the first week of September 2015.[7]

Release

Nayaki in Telugu and Nayagi in Tamil is expected to release in the mid of 2016. The film will be releasing in both the Tamil and Telugu languages. Since it would be a true horror film, it is expected to get an A certificate from the Censor Board.
