Neapolitans (chocolate)

Square or rectangular pieces of chocolate, individually wrapped, such as those currently manufactured by many chocolate brands such as Amedei, Leonidas, Domori and others. Neapolitans are also frequently made for promotional purposes for hotels, coffee shops (to serve with a cup of coffee, for example) to either promote a particular brand or to give away as a premium.

Wrapped Neapolitans are also sold in boxes of assorted flavours.

Neapolitans were manufactured by Terry's in York, Yorkshire. They were particularly popular around Christmas time in Britain. The flavours were:

Terry's also produced a selection of mint-flavoured neapolitans and cream-filled neapolitans. They would occasionally be sold in alternative packaging such as jars.

Since September 2005, this brand is no longer in production, due to the closure of Terry's factory by new owners Kraft Foods.[1] Similar boxed mixed assortments currently in production include Marks and Spencer's Neapolitans and Lindt Napolitains.
