Necropolis is an upcoming action role-playing video game developed by Harebrained Schemes. The game is set to be released for Microsoft Windows and OS X in summer 2016.[2]

Plot

An archmage named Abraxis travels to a secret underground tomb to practice magic far from civilization.[3]

Gameplay

Necropolis is a third person action role-playing game. The game is set in a labyrinth in the netherworld and features moving platforms and hidden treasure. Players will be able to alter parts of the world by solving puzzles.[4] Enemies will include dead adventurers. Abraxis's servant, the Brazen Head, will assist in shaping the environments. The environment will constantly be changing. Combat will include timed attacks and attack patterns. Items such as potion ingredients and books can be collected.[3] Enemies will include shark men.[5]

Development

The game was featured at PAX 2015, where it was named Destructoid’s Editor’s Choice Winner.[6] It will be released around 2016.[7]
