Neelam Kumar Phull

Neelam Kumar Phull named as N.k.Phull is an Indian actor who has performed in films as well as television serials. Awarded by culture ministry of India and various organizations.

Overview

N.k.Phull hails from a family of Poonch(Dist. of Jammu and Kashmir), Later shifted to Jammu. He started his career in 1979 by joining theatre workshop organized by J&K Academy of Art & Culture. After graduation he got his first break in Gul Gulshan Gulfaam which was a 1989 Doordarshan television serial directed by Ved Rahi and produced by Prem Krishen (Cinevistaas), was one-of-the first serial to be based in Kashmir. He has also worked in film Sardar Patel (Dir. by Ketan Mehta),Prakarmi (Dir. by Vijay Deep). This earned him many offers, but even at that time he did not take up anything that came his way. On the contrary he has always preferred to wait and do lesser but more meaningful roles. In the coming years he was approached with roles of his choice and thus serials like Dilliagi (Zee TV) Dir. By Sharad Saran,One to Ka Four (Zee TV) and more.

He has also started making short films, serials and documentaries for channels as Director and Producer.

He also awarded a Senior fellowship in the field of Culture for the year 2009−10.
