Neko Janai mon! (ネコじゃないモン!) is a manga series by Kentarō Yano which ran in Young Jump magazine from 1982 until 1985. The story follows the romance of Naoko Miyamoto (宮本尚子 Miyamoto Naoko), a young artist attending art college, and Yokokawa (横川), a crass young man attending the same college. Because of a bad experience with a kitten when she was young (she saw one get killed), Miyamoto is scared of being around cats. Despite her fear, a local cat adopts her.
