Nemamyxine elongata also known as the Bootlace hagfish is a species of hagfish in the genus Nemamyxine. The bootlace hagfish is a hermaphrodite, and both genders do not have a copulatory organ. This species attains a maximum size of 867 mm TL. N. elongata lives in Bay of Plenty and Canterbury Bight at depth of 132-140 m.[1]
