Neoscombrops is a genus of fish in the family Acropomatidae, the temperate ocean-basses or lanternfishes. They occur in the Indian, Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
Species
There are currently three recognized species in this genus:[1]
- Neoscombrops atlanticus Mochizuki & Sano, 1984
- Neoscombrops cynodon (Regan, 1921) – silver splitfin
- Neoscombrops pacificus Mochizuki, 1979
