Neptis nemetes, the Nemetes Sailer, is a butterfly in the Nymphalidae family. It is found in Senegal, Guinea-Bissau, Burkina-Faso, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Nigeria, Cameroon, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, the Republic of Congo, Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Sudan, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia and Ethiopia.[2] The habitat consists of lowland forests and riverine thicket.
The larvae feed on Asteraceae species, Alchornea cordifolia and Macaranga and Alchornea species.
