Neve Yerushalayim

Neve Yerushalayim (Hebrew: נוה ירושלים) is a network of Jewish colleges for Jewish women, located in Har Nof, Jerusalem.

Founded in 1970 by Rabbi Dr. Dovid Refson as an institution for women without a religious background to explore Judaism, Neve Yerushalayim has since broadened its mandate to offer a variety of Jewish studies programs relevant to the spectrum of modern-day Jewish life. Students at its branches may have prior educational backgrounds in Judaism ranging from basic to advanced. Rabbi Refson originally intended to establish a men's yeshiva (school for Jewish studies.) When six women responded to his advertisements and no men, he changed course and made it a women's school.
