New Scots

New Scots see also Broon Scots is a term coined by Photo-journalist Hermann Rodrigues used to describe people of any background (primarily used within the Asian community) who have immigrated to Scotland.[1][2] An example of its use would be in a 2006 National Library of Scotland exhibition by one of Scotland's leading multicultural documentary and travel photographers Hermann Rodrigues Creator of Broon Scots Limited. www.broonscots.com.[3] Broon Scots is a Creative community organisation based in Edinburgh, Scotland which celebrates the integration of the Asian ethnic minority groups in Scotland. They do so by documenting through regular photography features alongside chosen quotes or text. They cover key members, events and significant places which are all promoted through an online hub for the Scots Asian Diaspora. Or in the Scottish Government's Fresh Talent Initiative to encourage people to settle in Scotland.[4]
