New York City Police Foundation
The New York City Police Foundation was established in 1971 by business and civic leaders as an independent, non-profit organization to strengthen the services of the New York City Police Department and to improve public safety in New York City.
The Police Foundation is the first municipal foundation of its type in the country, and serves as a model for similar organizations in other cities.
The NYCPF public-private partnership provides the New York City Police Department with the means to launch experimental programs. The Police Foundation supported Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly's efforts to establish the Real Time Crime Center.
The group is headquartered in New York, NY.
