New Zealand Gardens Trust

New Zealand Gardens Trust (NZGT) is an organisation set up in 2004 by the Royal New Zealand Institute of Horticulture, to assess gardens for the public to visit. The objectives of the trust are stated as:[1]

The NZGT assess gardens out of four levels:

For the 2009-2010 season the Gardens of International Significance were Ayrlies Garden (Auckland), Richmond (Carterton), Larnach Castle Garden (Dunedin), and Te Kainga Marire (New Plymouth).[2]
