Newport Pagnell Town F.C. is a football club based at Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire in England. In the 2014–15 season, the club is playing in the United Counties Football League Premier Division, led by manager Darren Lynch.
History
The Swans were founded in 1963 as Newport Pagnell Wanderers. In 1964 they joined the North Bucks & District Football League, winning the Division Three shield at their first attempt. When the only other local team (based at the Aston Martin works) folded, many of their players joined the Swans, who won Division Two and then One in successive seasons, before becoming the almost unbeatable champions for three seasons
In 1972 the Swans joined the South Midlands League, playing at youth club facilities in Wolverton Road before moving to the current Willen Road ground. At the same time the name changed from Wanderers to Town and in 1973 Newport Pagnell Town joined the United Counties Football League.
The Swans started in the old Division Two, which is now extinct. In 1976 they won promotion to Division One as runners-up and in 1982 won the Division One title for the loss of just one game. Since their first Premier Division season in 1982–83, the Swans have alternated between the two divisions; this is their sixteenth season in the Premier Division compared to eleven seasons in Division One.
The club started the 2008–09 season by reaching the second qualifying round of the FA Cup for the first time, with wins over VT, Cirencester Town and Marlow.
