Nigel Anthony
Nigel Anthony (born 1941) is a theatre, television, and radio actor.
His theatre work includes "Twelfth Night", Dutch Uncle, Happy End, The Taming Of The Shrew for the Royal Shakespeare Company and seasons at Scarborough and Chichester. Television appearances include Ted Roach in Casualty (series 1 and 2) The Diary of Anne Frank, Coronation Street, Midsomer Murders and Doctors.
Anthony has narrated many TV documentaries and his voice has been heard in countless advertisements, most particularly for Tesco and Orange.
He is the winner of both a Sony award and a Radio Times award for his radio performances. Recent radio projects include Radio 4's Book Of The Week, joining an all star cast in Michael Frayn's Matchbox Theatre, as Claude Erskine Brown in "Rumpole Of The Bailey" and as Archdeacon Grantley in "The Last Chronicle Of Barset"
In 2011, Anthony played Evelyn Waugh, opposite Fenella Fielding as Nancy Mitford, in the sell-out production of "Dearest Nancy...Darling Evelyn" at the Jermyn Street Theatre, London.
He has just been seen in the nationwide tour of the West End's newest take on "The Importance of Being Earnest"
