It contains commissioned pieces with music from former Soviet republics in Eastern Europe and Central Asia,[1] and includes performances by Throat Singers of Tuva, Dawn Upshaw (soprano), Djivan Gasparian (duduk), and Mikhail Alexandrovich (cantor).
