Nikita Tryamkin (born August 30, 1994) is a Russian ice hockey defenceman. He is currently playing for the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League (NHL).
Tryamkin made his Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) debut playing with Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg during the 2012–13 KHL season.[1]
Professional career
During the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Tryamkin was selected 66th overall by the Vancouver Canucks. On March 8, 2016 the Canucks signed Tryamkin to a 2 year entry level cap deal. In this deal Tryamkin has the option of going back to Russia and not the AHL if he doesn't make the Canucks in the following season. The deal is worth 832,500 dollars at an NHL base per year and $70,000 at an AHL level salary.
On March 16, 2016, Tryamkin made his NHL debut and scored his 1st NHL point assisting on Henrik Sedin's goal also assisted by Daniel Sedin. On April 7, 2016, Tryamkin scored his first career NHL goal against the Calgary Fames goaltender Joni Ortio.
