Nikolai Gridnyov (Russian: Николай Гриднев) was a pilot serving in the Belarusian Air Force. In June 2012 he was killed after losing control of a Sukhoi Su-25 and crashing outside of a village. He was ordered to eject, but instead remained on board to make sure the aircraft did not crash into the village.[1]
