Commonly referred to as a hip-hop, rock or indie rock band, with much of their music containing rap as an element. Since their formation, No Wyld have attracted a flurry of attention, drawing international interest from music blogs such as Pigeons and Planes, MTV Iggy and Cassette Couture. Their song "Let Me Know" appears in the FIFA 16 soundtrack and has surpassed 1 million views on YouTube. Also their song "Odyssey" made it to the soundtrack of NHL15 and NFL 16

History

No Wyld began with Mo Kheir and Joe Pascoe when first meeting at university in 2007 when they were studying architecture. They later joined up with Brandon Black two years later at a local music jam night. They all had their own specific tastes in music; but decided to come together and create a radically different sound in an effort to push boundaries and change things up. They initially began as bedroom producing, where it was just messing around, jamming on tracks they liked, covering, and doing open mic nights.[1]

Revolution was the first single that spread their name across the online world and it's still a cornerstone of No Wyld's now signature fusion of opposing genres. The track earned praise from MTV Iggy in the United States and was subsequently included in United States TV show 90210.[2]

No Wyld released their debut album, Preface, on 29 June 2012. The band played at the Loft at Q Theatre to celebrate the release.

The band's versatility has attracted the interest of major sponsors like Red Bull, who included them in a major campaign. No Wyld went into the Red Bull Studios in August 2013 to begin recording their first EP, Abstract.[3]

The track "Odyssey" was used in a commercial for McDonald's during Sochi 2014, and later included in the soundtrack for NHL 15, Madden NFL 16 and Need for Speed. [4]"Odyssey" was also featured in the pregame video played before the West Virginia University Mountaineers football team took the field for home games during the 2015 season.[5] In addition, "Let Me Know" was included in the soundtrack for FIFA 16.[6]
