Biography

Noble Consort Xin was born of the Manchu Daigiya (戴佳) clan. Her personal name is unknown. Her family was under the Bordered Yellow Banner of the Eight Banners. Her father was Nasutu (那蘇圖), the Viceroy of Liangjiang.

Lady Daigiya entered the Forbidden City in 1753 during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor and on Empress Dowager Chongqing's order she was given the rank of Imperial Concubine Xin (忻嬪). In 1755 she gave birth to the Qianlong Emperor's sixth daughter and two years late she gave birth to Qianlong's eighth daughter. However both her daughters died prematurely.
