Nofel Izz is a UAE-based Canadian entrepreneur. He is the founder and former CEO of Jobs in Dubai.com, Inc.[1]

Personal life

Izz was born in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He grew up in a family with IndianPakistani background. His father Tayyab Mohammed Izz was a Gujarati gold trader in the UAE.[2][3] He received his early education in Dubai, and later migrated at the age of 21 to continue his education in Canada.[4]

Career

Izz moved to Toronto in 1997 to pursue higher education. In 2000, he served as a relationship manager at the Bank of Montreal in Toronto. He later established an IT company along with three others in the early 2000s.

In 2002, Izz founded Jobs in Dubai in Canada, and later opened offices in Dubai.[5] He sold it to an Indian investor in June 2011 for $9 million.[1]

Nofel Izz has invented an oxygen mask,[6] and a very tall (160 km) tower, which he refers to as a "space elevator".[7]

Izz's work as a musician includes composing and singing songs released on multiple albums.[8][9]
