Norio Yamanaka

Norio Yamanaka (山中 典士 Yamanaka Norio, born in 1928 in Shiga Prefecture,[1] Japan) is a Japanese teacher of kitsuke, "art of wearing kimono", an advocator of every-day use of kimono and the founder and chairman[2] of the Sōdō Kimono Academy, the first[1] kimono-wearing academy in Japan. He has written several books on kimono and travelled to tens of countries to speak about kimono.
