Norm Phillips

Norman (Norm) Phillips is an American geophysical fluid dynamicist. He is a former director of the National Meteorological Center of NOAA NWS.[1]
His work includes perhaps the first General Circulation Model in 1956,[2] and the Nested Grid Model (NGM) used 1987–2009 in the NWS for operational weather prediction.
