Norway entered the Eurovision Song Contest 1991 with Just 4 Fun and "Mrs. Thompson". The group were internally selected by Norwegian broadcaster Norsk rikskringkasting (NRK) to compete for Norway at the contest, held in Rome, Italy.

Selection

For the first time, NRK held an internal selection to select the Norwegian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 1991. NRK had continuously used the Melodi Grand Prix contest to select the Norwegian entry for Eurovision, however for 1991 this was not used.

The group selected were Just 4 Fun, who were an amalgamation of four popular singers, Marianne Antonsen, Jan Groth, Eiríkur Hauksson and Hanne Krogh. Hauksson had previously represented Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest 1986, as part of the group ICY with "Gleðibankinn", while Krogh represented Norway twice before, in Eurovision Song Contest 1971 with "Lykken er" and Eurovision Song Contest 1985, as part of duo Bobbysocks that won the contest for Norway.

At Eurovision

Just 4 Fun performed 14th in the running order on the night of the contest, held on 4 May 1991. Norway received 14 points in total, receiving 6 points from Iceland, 4 points from Germany, 2 points from Denmark, and 1 point each from Luxembourg and Turkey, placing 17th in a field of 22.

NRK reverted to using Melodi Grand Prix the following year.
