1978 Norwegian Football Cup

Lillestrøm won the Norwegian cup by beating Brann 21 on 22 October . The goal scorer for Lillestrøm was Vidar Hansen, who scored in the 74th and 76th minute . For Brann, Steinar Aase scored in the 20th minute
23 534 spectators attended the match at Ullevål stadion in Oslo. The referee was Reidar Bjørnestad. This was the second time Lillestrøm won the Norwegian cup.

Lillestrøm's winning squad: Arne Amundsen, Per Berg (Arne Dokken 45), Jan Birkelund, Tore Kordahl, Georg Hammer, Frank Grønlund, Gunnar Lønstad, Øivind Tomteberget, Leif Hansen, Tom Lund, Vidar Hansen and Rolf Nordberg.
