Norwich Town Hall
Norwich Town Hall is a historic town hall at Union Street and Broadway in Norwich, Connecticut. It is a large red brick building, occupying a prominent location overlooking Norwich's central business district. It was designed by Burdick & Arnold, a local architectural firm, and built in 1870-73, with an addition to the rear c. 1909. It is Second Empire in style, with a mansard roof and complex wood-carved ornamentation on its exterior. A tower at one corner has a mansard-roofed stage topped by a clock, belfry, and bulbous turned finial.[2] The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on December 22, 1983. The building is part of the Downtown Norwich Historic District. It continues to house offices of the city and township of Norwich.
