The splendid hawkfish, Notocirrhitus splendens, is a species of hawkfish found on tropical reefs of the Pacific Ocean from around Australia, as well as Lord Howe Island, Norfolk Island, and the Kermadec Islands, where it can be found to depths around 10 m (33 ft). This species grows to 20 cm (7.9 in) in total length. This species is the only known member of its genus.[1]
