Political Opinions

In an interview which aired on Egypt's CBC TV on October 6, 2011 (as translated by MEMRI), El-Sharif claimed that "when it comes to the Holocaust, there is no freedom of speech." He also stated that "When a Frenchman wrote a Ph.D. dissertation, in which he proved that the [gas] chambers were a Jewish... an Israeli lie, they revoked his doctorate. That's another thing – the Israeli lobby has infiltrated France so deeply that the Sorbonne revoked a doctoral degree that it had awarded a researcher."[1]

In an interview which aired on Egypt's CBC TV on September 7, 2014 (as translated by MEMRI), Al-Sharif claimed that the attacks of September 11, 2001 were the "result of an internal American conflict" between the "U.S. presidency and the CIA."[2]
