The NLB Group is the largest Slovenian banking and financial group, offering a wide range of banking and other financial services, providing complete servicing of its clients’ financial needs. Slovenia is the Group’s strategic key market. The Group’s strategic objective in Slovenia is to maintain its leading market share of traditional banking services and increase its market share of complementary banking services, in particular life insurance and asset management.
The NLB's secondary strategic market is south-eastern Europe, where it is active in the retail banking market, and includes the following countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Macedonia. The strategic objective for these markets is to be a leading financial service provider.
Operations
As of December 31, 2012, the NLB Group comprises the NLB and 45 banks and companies. Banking is NLB Group’s most important activity, while the Group also provides other financial services, such as insurance, asset management, leasing, factoring and forfeiting.
NLB Group operates in 13 countries, covering 14 markets, and comprises:
- 10 banks and 1 branch abroad;
- 7 leasing companies;
- 9 factoring and forfeiting companies;
- 3 insurance companies;
- 1 asset management company; and
- 16 companies performing other activities.
