Nurali Aliyev

Nurali Aliyev (born January 1, 1985) is a Kazakh financier and economist and the Deputy Mayor of Astana. He is the grandson of the president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Biography

Born in Alma-Ata, a graduate of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University Abay of the Faculty of Economics. He studied at Pepperdine University (USA), International University (Austria), an international business school Imadec University. He holds a Master of Business Administration.[1] With a fortune of $200 million was in the rating of the richest Kazakhstanis, compiled by the magazine Forbes.

Appointment

In accordance with the decree of mayor of Astana on December 24, 2014, "On the distribution of responsibilities between the mayor of Astana city, his deputy and chief of staff," Deputy Mayor of Astana Nurali Aliyev is personally responsible for compliance with the adopted resolutions of city hall, decisions and orders of mayor of the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan in communications, business, industry and agriculture, the implementation of the State program for accelerated industrial-innovative development of Kazakhstan for 2010-2014 (monitoring and control of the implementation of projects to ensure timely commissioning of facilities and the release of their design capacity, search and selection of projects for inclusion in the map of industrialization, the organization of the Regional Coordinating Council for accelerated industrial-innovative development of Astana).[2][3]

From 2006 to 2007 - President of the TV channel «Hit TV».

C 2006 to 2007 - Deputy, First Deputy Chairman of JSC "Nurbank".

From 2007 to 2008 - Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC "Nurbank".

From 2008 to 2013 - Managing Director - Member of the Board of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan.

From December 2013 to December 2014 - President of JSC "TransTeleCom".[4]

December 19, 2014 was appointed deputy Mayor of Astana city.

Panama Papers

In April 2016, Aliyev was implicated in the Panama Papers.[5][6] He was confirmed as a listed PEP in October 2014 in an email to Mossack Fonseca.[7]
