Nurly Zhol
Nurly Zhol is a $9 billion domestic economic stimulus plan to develop and modernize roads, railways, ports, IT infrastructure, and education and civil services in the Republic of Kazakhstan.[1] The Nurly Zhol plan was announced by Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev in November 2014.[2]
Nurly Zhol targets seven areas of infrastructure development:[3]
- transportation and logistics infrastructure
- industrial infrastructure
- energy infrastructure
- public utilities infrastructure
- housing infrastructure
- social infrastructure
- small and medium-sized enterprises
1.4 million square meters of the rental housing is expected to be constructed in 2015-2019.[4]
