Formerly known as Xtreme GH,[1][2] Nuru is a rapper, publicist and entrepreneur from Ghana, West Africa. He rose to prominence after the release of his single Mali Zani [3][4] in 2015. Nuru [5][6] raps in the local Dagbani language, English and Pidgin English. Aside music, he works as a publicist and owns a host of online publishing enterprises.
Early life
Nuru spent most part of his childhood years in Accra, Ghana and later lived and completed his basic education in Tamale, Ghana; thus, attending three basic schools in total. Sakumono School Complex, Abe Halperin School Complex and Kanvilli Presbyterian School respectively. He proceeded to Prempeh College for his senior high school education and studied for his BSc in Applied Biology at the University for Development Studies in Tamale.
Music
He has released the singles Born To Win,[7] Hawa,[8] My World[9] and Mali Zani[10] preceding the release of his debut solo studio album, Lighting, due in November, 2016. The reason why Nuru[11] is considered a unique artiste is mainly based on three fold of reasons; Local dialect he raps with, his rhythmic flow and his lyrical inclination. He has been a lot more relevant within the northern parts of Ghana as they commonly speak the local language he raps in.

Since 2013, Nuru has been active in the blogging business, running a host of blogs and developing content for other media houses. Operating under the MAC Media Group incorporation niche, the rapper cum social entrepreneur has had the opportunity to work with Efya, Edem, Kwame Yeboah, Sarkodie, Hammer of The Last Two, M.anifest, among others.
