Nushrat Bharucha (born 17 May 1985)[1] is an Indian film actress best known for her work in Pyar Ka Punchnama, Kal Kisne Dekha, Akaash Vani, Darr @ the Mall, Meeruthiya Gangster and Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2.

Personal life

Bharucha was born and brought up in a, Muslim family in Mumbai, India.[2] She studied at Lilavati Podar High School, where she was very active in theater.

Career

Bharucha debuted in Jai Santoshi Ma (2006). She later acted in Love Sex Aur Dhokha directed by Dibakar Banerjee and shot to prominence with Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011) produced by Wide Frame Pictures. The film is story of three bachelors who fall in love with three different girls. Bharucha plays one of the three girls, Neha, who is in a live-in relationship with her boyfriend, Rajat. She gained popularity as ‘Babu’, Rajat's nickname for her in the film. The film became a sleeper hit of the year with newcomers in the lead. It has now achieved a cult status among the youth. Bharucha's latest feature film, released on 16 October 2015, is Luv Ranjan’s Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, in which she was paired with her Pyaar Ka Punchnama co-star, Karthik Aryan.

Bharucha has also acted in the YRF television series, SEVEN. She has also appeared in many TV advertisements. She once mentioned in an interview with IndiaToday, "I have never been to an acting school and was trained at auditions."[3]
