"O Holy Night" is a song performed by School children at Ladywell Primary School in Motherwell, released as a digital download on November 21, 2012. Background

The song was made available for download on iTunes on November 21, 2012. The school plan to donate 90% of proceeds from the song to Meningitis Research Foundation in memory of Caden, who was diagnosed with meningococcal septicaemia, a type of blood poisoning caused by the same kind of bacteria found in the most common form of bacterial meningitis. The remaining 10% will go to school funds. The pupils and staff had decided to record two songs on CD for Christmas to raise money for the school. Pupils suggested the choir's version of O Holy Night should be uploaded to iTunes following Caden's death to raise money for the charity. Headteacher Pat Ashworth said: "We hoped to sell a few hundred downloads to parents and family but we never expected it to go so high into the charts in such a short time."[1][2]
