Lake Obernberg (German: Obernberger See) lies at an elevation of 1,590 metres in the valley with the same name near the Brenner Alps. With such a big area size and volume it is the biggest Lake on the southern side of Tyrol. The fresh water is provided subterranean by the Obernberger Seebach. Around the lake are travel paths.

The Lake has A quality on the surface and is one of the most beautiful mountain lakes of our country. On the bottom of the Lake is a curtain of algae which makes the water muddy at a depth of 13 metres. Bathing is prohibited, so that the fish population and the quality of the water remains untouched. In the Lake live trout and other fish.
