Ochten is a town in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of Neder-Betuwe, and lies about 10 km southwest of Wageningen.

Ochten was a separate municipality until 1818, when it was divided into two parts, Echteld and IJzendoorn.[1]

In 2001, the town of Ochten had 3587 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.75 km², and contained 1387 residences.[2] The statistical area "Ochten", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 4690.[3]
