Octet Ensemble is an American contemporary music ensemble based in New York City.[1] The group is especially unique in its instrumentation, consisting essentially of a scaled-down big band: saxophone, trumpet, trombone, double bass drums, piano, electric piano, and vocals.[2] The ensemble was founded by American composer William Susman in 2011 and their debut album, Scatter My Ashes, was released through Belarca Records in 2014 to favorable reviews.[3][4][5][6]
