Ofusato

Ofusato (承察度) (1337–1398) was the first king of Nanzan, a kingdom in the southernmost end of Okinawa Island.[1] His chosen capital was Nanzan Castle, in Itoman. He began the Ōzato Dynasty of Nanzan.

He presented himself to the Chinese imperial court for recognition in 1388. After Ofusato died while in Korea, his brother Yafuso seized power and sought formal recognition from China.
