Ogwashi Ukwu is a city in Delta State, Nigeria. It is located west of the state capital, Asaba and is the headquarter for the local government area, Aniocha South. Professor Chukwuka Okonjo is the current Eze (ruler) from the Umuobi Royal Family of Ogwashi-Ukwu. Ambassador Ralph Uwechue, the past President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, was from Ogwashi-Ukwu. The population of Ogwashi-Ukwu is about 26,137 according to the GeoNames geographical database.[1]
