Oleksandr Gvozdyk (Ukrainian: Олександр Гвоздик; born on 15 April 1987 in Kharkiv, Ukrainian SSR, USSR) is a Ukrainian amateur boxer who won bronze at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the light heavyweight.

Career

At the 2009 World Amateur Boxing Championships he beat two opponents before being edged out by Rene Krause.

At the 2011 World Amateur Boxing Championships he beat three fighters before falling to star Egor Mekhontsev of Russia. He qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics.

At the 2012 Summer Olympics he won against Belarusian Mikhail Dauhaliavets 18–10, Nicaraguan Osmar Bravo 18–6, Algerian Abdelhafid Benchabla 19–17 and lost to Kazakh Adilbek Niyazymbetov countback. He won the bronze medal.
