Olympia Aldersey is an Australian Junior World and Youth Olympic rower from Adelaide.[1] In 2010 in her 1st year of international competition Aldersey won a bronze medal at the Junior Worlds and Silver at the Youth Olympics with fellow South Australian Emma Basher.[2]
Aldersey currently rows for Adelaide Rowing Club[3] She competed in the 2009 Australian Youth Olympic Festival[4] where she won gold in the women's Coxless Pair and Eight and Silver in the Coxless Four.[5]
Aldersey was named Olympia by her parents as she was born during the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games.[1] In 2011, she graduated from St Peter's Girls School.
Olympia now attends the University of Adelaide, South Australia. If she's not rowing, she can be found studying or chatting with friends.
[6] In July 2011 Olympia competed at the u/23 World Championships to come 4th in the A Final in the pair.[7]
