Omnipop (It's Only a Flesh Wound Lambchop)
Omnipop (It's Only a Flesh Wound Lambchop) is the eighth (studio) album from American singer-songwriter Sam Phillips. The album's subtitle is a quote from the film The Producers.
The track "Power World" was covered by the artist Terry Sullivan in 2005 on the Good Charamel Record label's release Theerthmovesroundthesun.
Reception
The album was a critical and commercial flop, selling only about a quarter as many copies as its predecessor, Martinis and Bikinis[1] and receiving several negative reviews from music critics.[2][3] In one such review, Mark Caro wrote that the album's "lyrics are more pronouncements than personal revelations, and her observations are less insightful than broad and ornery."[4]
