History

Founded in 1991, Omnivex Corporation is a global provider of software solutions designed to manage digital signage systems.[1] Omnivex originally supplied software to financial trading floors to post buy/sell positions on large LED wallboards and drive financial tickers. Trading floors were quick to adopt large plasma displays to monitor television news reports. These displays could also be used to help traders spot market trends and developed applications to display data graphically. Business intelligence software used real time information to facilitate decision making but extending that model to visual communication to large audiences was a new application. Omnivex then moved into the broader digital signage market using a data driven approach to deliver targeted information to specific audiences.

Omnivex software is used in more than 50 countries around the world and includes many Fortune 500 companies in a wide variety of vertical markets.[2]
