Omolola Aina Ladele (born 16 May 1963), is a Nigerian academic and writer who currently serves as the 8th substantive provost of Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education.[1]

Early life and education

Born in Lagos Island, a local government area of Lagos State, Omolola had her primary and secondary school education at Yewande Memorial Nursery/Primary School, Surulere, Lagos and St. Anne's School, Molete, Ibadan, Oyo State respectively.[2] She has a National Certificate in Education (NCE) which she obtained from Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin after studying Mathematics and Geography and subsequently a BSc Ed. certificate in Mathematics Education from Ahmadu Bello University. In 1990, Omolola had her M.Phil in Curriculum and Instruction (Mathematics) from the University of Lagos and in 2013 she completed her PhD in Mathematics from Edith Cowan University, Australia.[3]

Career

Omolola Ladele's career in education began in 1990 when she got employed at Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education as a Lecturer II before she rose to becoming Chief Lecturer in 2003.[4] She is a fellow of Mathematics Education Research Group of Australia, Mathematics Association of Nigeria, Teacher's Registration Council of Nigeria and the Institute of Chartered Mediator and Conciliators.[3] Prior to her appointment as provost, she served as Director of Administration, Applied Scholastic Nigeria Limited, a position she held from 20062015.[2]
