On Tiptoes (Persian: پاورچین) is an Iranian television comedy serial. It was broadcast for the first time by the IRIB on Monday 1 September 2002 until Monday 16 April 2003. It could usually be seen every night at 8:00 p.m. Tehran time on Tehran TV, also known as Channel 5 in Iran. Later due to the popularity of the show, episodes were shown in syndication on various Iranian provincial channels as well as IRIB 1 & IRIB 2 for those living out of the country. The show stopped airing on 2 December 2002. It was directed by Mehran Modiri.
Summary of the Story
The story begins with an architect called "Farhad Barareh" from a fictional village called "Upper Barareh" who is fired from his job. The architect is married to a woman called Mahtap Mahtapi. The architect with his wife are living in a jungle. The architect tries to move to his wife's parents tower. Where he meets someone that is called Toghrol, that he always hated Bararehians. Farhad was looking for a new job where he meets his old friend Saeed Saeedi, and he also meets new people in that office such as Raees Raeesina and Vahid Vahidi, Farhad tried very hard to join the office and he managed successfully. After some adventures Farhad's sister Shadi "Shadooneh" Barareh moves from Upper Barareh to Tehran. After some advetures were the story really starts: Farhad's cousin Davood "Daveneh" Barareh moves from Lower Barareh to Tehran. After hundreds of adventures an evil person called Hisam Do Barareh moves from Barareieh or Western Barareh to Tehran and starts to make a war between Upper Barareh and Lower Barareh. And the story follows by different types of adventures.

Related series
Shabhaye Barareh is the prequel to On Tiptoes. Shabhaye Barareh is set in Barareh and describes Farhad's family more than fifty years ago. The series also has many of the cast members from other Modiri works such as Noghtechin, and Jayezeye Bozorg. In On Tiptoes Modiri plays the role of Farhad, and Shir Farhad(Farhad's father). In Shabhaye Barareh, Modiri is playing the younger version of Shir Farhad. Shabhaye Barareh also features Toghrol, showing him to have had a military career in his youth, hence his strict behaviour and attitude.
