Oncidium ensatum, Latin American orchid,[2] is a species of orchid found from southern Florida, southern Mexico (Chiapas + the Yucatán Peninsula), Central America, Cuba, the Bahamas, and northwestern Venezuela.[1][3][4]

Oncidium ensatum is usually epiphytic but sometimes terrestrial, up to 100 cm tall (not including the inflorescence). Leaves are narrowly linear to lanceolate, each up to 10 cm long. Inflorescence is either arching or hanging, up to 250 cm long. Flowers are yellow with brown spots.[3]
