The One Love Party is a British political party standing in the 2016 London mayoral election with candidate and party co-founder Ankit Love.[2]

The party was formed by Love and Cambridge University graduate Finn Grant and was named in accordance with their view that London needs a revolution.[2] The party describe themselves in their manifesto as techno-progressive.[3] The party general secretary is Pax Brown (born Giacomo Brunelli).[4] The party was formed from a hostel in Hackney in October 2015, when Ankit Love was homeless.[5]

The party wishes to put in place new legislation to combat air pollution (which they refer to as Chemical Air Wastes of Mass Destruction) and reduce industrial emissions to zero.[2][6] They wish to rapidly adopt clean sources of energy such as solar, electric and hydrogen power technologies. They also plan to introduce flat-pack skyscrapers that can be erected in 19 days - building one million new homes by 2020, and to legalise cannabis.[2]

Their policies for London include indefinitely delaying the construction of the Garden Bridge, and instead building 6 new bridges in East London based on a proposal by British architect Terry Farrell.[7] They also want to build 220 km of bicycle super highways suspended above railway lines designed by Norman Foster.[8] The first route from Stratford station to Liverpool Street station is forecast to cost £220m.[9]

The party proposes the reunification of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh to end potential of nuclear conflict vis-a-via Jammu and Kashmir.[10][11]
