Ontario Association of Food Banks

The Ontario Association of Food Banks (OAFB) is a food bank network in the Canadian province of Ontario. Founded in 1992, OAFB represents 123 food banks across the province,[1] "from Ottawa to Windsor, and Niagara Falls to Thunder Bay."[2] Its mission is to "end hunger across the province."[2] In 2007, the OAFB reported that 320,000 Ontarians turned to food banks every month.[3] OAFB is a non-profit, charity, which received no government funding.[4]

In 2007, the OAFB has been noted for innovative programming by the Globe and Mail[5] and the Toronto Star.[6]

The OAFB released the 2013 Hunger Report in collaboration with Pilot PMR, which revealed 375,000 Ontarians rely on food banks each month.[7]
